Happy Diwali!

Growing up with my grandparents meant that we followed every Diwali ritual and celebrated every day of the festival. My grandparents decided to stay back in my hometown Hyderabad when my parents, my brother and I moved to Mumbai four years ago. Festivals seem to last for a lesser amount of time without them and Diwali has especially been reduced to the evening of Lakshmi Pooja alone.

My brother rolled out the puris for the prasad.

I got the diyas ready.

We place these diyas in EVERY room of the house.

The aarti that only my parents sing.

That’s my parents excitedly checking out the pictures that I clicked, of them of course, right after the aarti.
